About Me . . .

Welcome to Protea Therapies

I am Dr. Monique Scheepers, a Counselling Psychologist committed to supporting your mental health and well-being. In this professional environment, we will work together to explore your thoughts and feelings. My goal is to guide you on your journey toward healing and personal growth, improving your relationship with both yourself and others.

Welcome to my practice, where believe in the power of reflection and personal meaning. I provide a safe, confidential space to explore life's challenges, from anxiety and depression to identity and purpose. My services extend to child and adolescent therapy, individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy, ensuring that everyone can find support. Together, we will work collaboratively, respecting your autonomy while finding new ways to navigate life's complexities, using a tailored approach that integrates Existential Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Psychoanalytic Therapy, all focused on holistic well-being

On a Personal Note

Born and raised in South Africa, I have lived in the UK for 9 years, based in Surrey. I am a dog lover, and you'll probably see my Staffy, Nova, in one or two of your online sessions. I love all things outdoors in the summer, and in the winter feel happy curling up under a blanket with a true crime doccie or good psychological thriller book.

I have dedicated my life, studies and interests to the field of psychology,

never wavering from the strong pull I have to sit alongside individuals going through hardships.

Having faced my own challenges in life, I bring a unique ability to empathise and connect with my clients on a profound level. Together, we can navigate the journey toward healing and growth.
